A hint of autumn in the air, the homey aroma of beans and cornbread cooking on an outdoor fire, and the sound of live, impromptu Folk or Bluegrass music can only mean the time has come for the annual Bean Fest and Championship Outhouse Races!
Celebrating its 33rd year in 2013, the festival has proven to be one of the most exciting and outrageous around, drawing thousands to Mountain View, Arkansas, for music, pinto beans and cornbread, and the spectacle created by the zany outhouse racing teams. Teams compete for the revered Gold, Silver and Bronze Toilet Seat awards as well as cash prizes.
